Areas of Practice
Civil Litigation
Insurance Defense

Jason is a shareholder in the Milwaukee office. His area of practice is civil litigation, with a focus on municipal law, premises liability defense, and real estate litigation. Jason has tried multiple jury and bench trials and has argued before all levels of Wisconsin state courts, including the Wisconsin Supreme Court and Wisconsin Court of Appeals. He also regularly represents clients in federal court. He defends municipalities and other governmental bodies in excessive tax assessment actions, unlawful tax actions, special assessment appeals, civil rights cases arising under 42 USC Sec. 1983, and Fair Housing Act actions. He has also represented Boards of Review and defended clients before the Wisconsin Tax Appeals Commission and at Condemnation Commission hearings. He also defends businesses and municipalities against premises liability claims, class action claims, personal injury claims, and in other real estate matters.

Jason obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts (B.A. political science and economics, cum laude, 2003). He obtained his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School (J.D., cum laude, 2006), where he was a project assistant for two professors and was an intern at the law school’s Legal Assistance to Institutionalized Persons Project.

Jason was raised in Heidelberg, Germany.
