Samuel P. Obscherning

Sam is an associate in the Milwaukee office. He is on the firm’s civil litigation team and primarily works in the areas of insurance defense and municipal law.

Sam grew up in the Milwaukee area and is a proud alumnus of Marquette University High School. He obtained his bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and German from the University of Missouri – Columbia. In 2017, Sam spent a semester at the Universität Leipzig in Germany.

Sam received his J.D. from the University of Missouri School of Law in 2021, where he worked as a research assistant contributing to a variety of academic publications. Sam also gained a diverse foundation of legal experience through internships with the Missouri State Public Defender’s Office, Jackson County Commissioner Sherrill L. Rosen, and the General Counsel for the Illinois Realtors’ Association.

Prior to joining Kasdorf in the Spring of 2023, Sam worked as an Attorney with the Wisconsin State Public Defender’s office in its Milwaukee Trial Division, where he independently handled numerous criminal matters and gained experience in trial advocacy, motion practice, and defense representation.
